I was interesting in reading the first two novels by this author, as I am an admirer of her paintings, as well. I was a little unsure as to whether this book would be for my taste, but she obviously does her historical homework on the New Mexico area. History and language intrigues me and I am the kind of reader that needs to be able to learn in an easy to absorb context (I was a terrible student). So, after a few questioning moments, initially a little too much 'animal attraction' for me, right out of the gate ...I got into the book. I think for a first effort she did well. I would have liked to have learned a little more about the other characters, besides the main two. But, good job Ms. Kingson!Product details
